Be cautious about who you trust! Beauty gurus are everywhere. But, there are also some that sell beauty products and do aesthetic treatments without proper education. Be careful if you want to get services from them or buy their products.
If you’re thinking about getting any kind of beauty treatment – whether it’s an aesthetic procedure, some Botox injections, or even just buying a new skincare product – you need to be careful about who you trust. Otherwise, you could waste your money or, worse, damage your health.
There are a lot of people out there selling fake beauty products. These products may not be dangerous, but they’re not going to do anything to improve your appearance. In fact, some of them may even be harmful. So, it’s important that you only buy beauty products from reputable sources.
There are also a lot of people posing as dermatologists or other medical professionals when they’re not. They may offer to do Botox injections, laser treatments, or other procedures without being properly trained. This could lead to serious side effects, including scarring or infection. So, make sure you see a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon before getting any kind of treatment.
A lot of patients have been coming to our clinic with a variety of issues —Chemical burns, non-surgical nose lifts that went wrong, pimple breakouts, laser burns, infected cautery sites, and other problems that fall into this category. When asked where they had the procedure, usually from these “beauty clinics and spas,” they replied.
Don’t let yourself be scammed by fake beauty products or gurus! Do your research and make sure you’re getting the real deal. Otherwise, you could end up regretting it.
Much like this news story from Philstar global last January 12, 2021:

The products that were seized and destroyed on the city hall grounds were purportedly put up for sale through online shopping applications.
Moreno once again stressed the importance of online shopping sites doing due diligence to ensure that they aren’t inadvertently housing sellers of counterfeit goods or frauds. (You can read the full news article here.)
The bottom line is if you are considering getting services from a beauty guru or buying their products, be very careful. Do your research to make sure that the person providing the service has the proper education and training.
Here at Body Concepts Dermatology & Medical Clinic, you will be well taken care of by a board-certified dermatologist who has years of experience and training. We want to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care and results.
